We have five Angel of the North Information Packs to give away to schools.

Published by Gateshead Council Arts Development Team in 2003, these packs introduce public art in Gateshead, detail some of the ways education and outreach groups have worked with the Angel, and include design drawings and statistics about the Angel.

If you would like an information pack please contact Hannahmackay@gateshead.gov.uk with your school address.

Performed by Live's youth theatre, this is a tale about friendship, football and the Angel of the North. Full of laughter and drama, the play is an entertaining look at life growing up in the North East.

Performances for schools, followed by a workshop exploring the play's themes are at 10am and 1pm on Thursday 12 and Friday 13 February. Click here to book.

The play links with the Every Child Matters Initiative and Key Stage 2 Citizenship, including preparing for change, coping with transition, bullying, conflict resolution, healthy living, and most importantly using imagination to understand other people's experiences. The post-show workshop provides an opportunity to further explore these areas as the pupils get to meet and question the characters.
