Lantern making workshops

girl_lantern.jpgCome and celebrate 'Light up the Countryside Week' by making a lantern! The week will culminate in a spectacular lantern parade at Watergate Forest Park, 7 - 8pm on Saturday 21 February. Why not bring along your lantern and join in, or just come and watch. Family lantern making workshops are taking place at the following venues:

 

 

Tuesday 17 February, 10am - 12 noon at Thornley Woodlands Centre.

Wednesday 18 February, 12noon -2pm at Saltwell Park.

Thursday 19 February, 1 - 3pm at Bill Quay Farm, and 2 - 4pm at Thornley Woodlands Centre.

Saturday 21 February, 6pm at Watergate Forest Park.

Workshop places cost £2 per person and must be booked in advance by calling 01207 545 212 or emailing countryside@gateshead.gov.uk
