Learning Through Landscapes: National School Grounds Conference takes place in Birmingham on 22 January. The conference will focus on play in school grounds, celebrating what is already good and looking at the challenges schools face in making the most of play times for all their children. Some of the issues to be addressed include:

• Bullying -- how can improved playtime supervision help?
• How can you ensure every child has an enjoyable time outside?
• Should the EYFS principle that play underpins all development and learning for young children continue through into Key Stage 1?

There will be opportunities to get your hands dirty and play outside, as well as listening to guest speakers. The workshops will all be on the theme of 'playing' with scrap, art, natural materials, design, music and more...
