Launch of the Planetarium at Life Science Centre

For primary and secondary schools

Life is pleased to announce the opening of the only major planetarium in the North East of England. Our Astronomy Show cover all of the key points of ‘The Earth and Beyond’ as well as introducing students to the constellations, planets, comets, meteors and other wonders of the night sky. Of course, we never have problems with clouds, light pollution or bad weather!

We have also introduced a number of new lab workshops linked to the Planetarium show that are suitable for all key stages and information on these will be available.

You and your colleagues are warmly invited to the launch of Life’s new planetarium shows on

Thursday 8 February 2007 from 4pm onwards.

The shows take place in Life’s state-of-the-art Dome Theatre and are designed to offer a curriculum linked introduction to the night sky to pupils of all ages.

We will be running timed shows at 4.30pm, 5.15pm and 6pm

To book your place please call Niamh Lightfoot on 0191 243 8223 or email: bookings@life.org.uk
